This is based on ASDAN life skills challenges, whereby activities completed within sessions can give certificates through animal care learning opportunities. We maintain it is not about the activity (The HERD Institute, Veronica Lac), but go at each individual's pace to achieve in a unique way. This is popular with the home-educated community, the local authority within EOTAS packages and in non-mainstream schools as it suits non-classroom based on therapeutic learning styles.

Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL)

This is a service suited to individuals seeking a therapeutic space with personal growth as their main aim in accessing sessions. These sessions invite the horses into our sessions and we notice and reflect on how the interactions unfold. This service is supported by the existential phenomenological theory and is naturally lower in demand, making it much more accessible to those not able to engage in or wanting mainstream talking therapies. This is less structured and can be more suited to some individuals' natural way of being.
